Ellery Pridgen

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Ellery is a writer, artist, and filmmaker whose work deals with portrayals of childhood, love, longing, gender, and beauty.

Her writing has been featured in or is forthcoming from Ephimiliar Journal, Unstamatic, Coffin Bell Journal, Prometheus Dreaming, the Closed Eye Open, Paloma, Outcrop (Issue 3-forthcoming), and many other journals and anthologies, including Draw Down The Moon, the recently released short fiction collection from Propertius Press. She was a finalist for the 2019 Prometheus Unbound Poetry Prize, a 2022 Associate Writer-In-Residence at the Atlantic Center for the Arts in New Smyrna Beach, Florida (Residency #185, Eileen Myles), and an April 2024 Writer-In-Residence at Lakkos in Heraklion, on the Greek island of Crete.

Ellery graduated June 2023 with a Bachelor’s degree in English Creative Writing from Western Washington University. From 2020 to 2024, she worked as a Music Curator/Music Journalist and Social Media Coordinator for the record subscription service VNYL.

She currently lives in Crete with her partner and two cats.
